Before many of us know it, that magical number “65” is upon us. Approaching age 65 can mean many things, one of which is enrolling in Medicare, the government-facilitated health insurance available to individuals 65 years or older (or as we like to see it, 65 years or better!).

Understanding the many Medicare coverage options and the enrollment process may seem daunting, which is why we are sharing our “Navigating Medicare” infographic. Follow along the simple step-by-step approach to more easily navigate through Medicare enrollment journey for the first time. Most U.S. citizens become eligible for enrollment on the first day of the month in which they turn 65.

If you are already enrolled in Medicare, remember that open enrollment occurs each year from October 15 through December 7. During open enrollment, you can review, and update as needed, your coverage selections.
