Feeling Boo This Halloween?

Feeling Boo This Halloween?

This year, the scariest thing about Halloween is the coronavirus. Instead of trick-or-treating door-to-door this year, HealthyChildren.org suggested some scary-good ways to make Halloween spook-tacular:1

  • Have a gourd time. One of Halloween’s finest traditions is pumpkin carving and decorating. Consider hosting a virtual or socially-distanced jack-o-lantern contest with family or friends.

  • Lift your spirits. If you’ve been craving human connection, have a masked, socially-distanced, outdoor event like a scavenger hunt or a costume parade. Keep the guest list small and the hand sanitizer close.

  • A scare is born. Stay inside for a spooky movie night with Halloween treats such as a jack-o-lantern-shaped pizza, bat-shaped peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, or candy corn cupcakes.2 Dress up as your favorite characters, and coordinate with family and friends so you can video chat during the show.

Have some fun finding your creative spirit! Inventing fun new Halloween traditions that keep everyone safe may provide an upside in this down year.

It’s not possible to know what’s ahead, but it is possible to be financially prepared. If the pandemic has you thinking about your family’s financial security, please get in touch with us at 614-225-9400.

We wish you a Happy Halloween full of treats and good fun!
